For the fourth consecutive year the venue has received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award. The accolade, which honours hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.

For the third year running, the venue has achieved a top rated status in the prestigious Laterooms.com ‘Simply The Guest Awards’ after receiving an average review score of over 80% across 30 or more genuine guest reviews left over the past twelve months on LateRooms.com, the UK’s leading hotel booking site.

Woodland Grange has been re-certified to the world’s most stringent environmental standard - ISO 14001. The standard is designed to help businesses minimise how their operations and processes negatively affect the environment and the re-certification demonstrates that the conference centre is continually improving in the way it operates.

“We were originally awarded ISO 14001 in 2008,” says John Turpin, the Group Operations Manager for EEF Venues, “and we have two service visits a year to check that we are operating to the required standards. Every three years, a full assessment is undertaken and re-certification is only awarded if we can show that we are progressing our environmentally friendly processes and practices. I am delighted that we’ve achieved this.”

ISO 14001 is a framework that helps organisations develop and improve their own environmental management system (EMS) and therefore, meet their environmental goals and objectives. It can be applied to any type of business, but it is rare to find a conference centre that has achieved it.
“First and foremost, ISO 14001 helps us to reduce our environmental impact,” says John, “but our EMS also improves our efficiency and allows us to comply more easily with legislative requirements.”

The continual improvement process ensures that more and more areas of the business, and more activities and processes are covered and managed by the EMS.
While a conference centre certainly doesn’t pose the same risk to the environment as a large factory or production plant for example, any steps taken by a business to reduce the impact it makes on the planet is surely a good thing.

Ashorne Hill has opened a further five meeting rooms. Based in the main mansion house on the second floor, the new rooms offer a peaceful learning environment for meetings, video conferencing and break-out sessions.

The Kenilworth room has capacity for up to 40 people theatre style. Located on the second floor, the room has five large windows, allowing vast amounts of natural light to enter. The room also has access to the Broadway syndicate room, which can cater for up to 15 delegates. The Gaydon room can cater for up to 20 delegates theatre styles. A fully integrated AV system has been incorporated into the design – including speakers, projector, VHS and DVD player. The Henley room is a brand new video conferencing suite with the latest equipment and a large high quality board-room meeting table and leather chairs. Next door to the Henley is a further syndicate room, the Tachbrook, with space for 12 delegates.

As well as the five new meetings rooms, the area includes male and female toilets and a brand new self-contained coffee station complete with flat screen TVs and a comfortable seating area.

Leaders of the region’s thriving social enterprise sector are heading back to the classroom later this year for the second West Midlands ‘Summer School’ to learn from some of the most influential people in UK business.

The two-day residential programme organised by Social Enterprise West Midlands, will give 40 senior delegates the chance to hone their skills in specialist areas, such as leadership development, performance management, managing growth and strategic marketing.

Ashorne Hill is pleased to announce the launch of our brand new video conferencing suite and communication solutions.
Ashorne Hill’s new Video Conferencing suite is available for bookings by the hour, half day or full day. The dedicated suite is geared towards meetings of between 2 and 8 people; however larger video conferencing meetings can also be catered for by using a larger meeting room with a projector and pull down screen.
