‘Best UK Management Training Centre’ – M&IT Gold award for Møller Centre

The Møller Centre won the prestigious Gold award for ‘Best UK Management Training Centre’ at the Meetings & Incentive Travel (M&IT) Industry Awards 2016.

The awards recognise excellent customer service and are the meetings and events industry’s only independently verified and audited awards. It’s the fifth occasion in the last six years that the Møller Centre has won the ‘Best UK Management Training Centre’ top award at the ceremony attended by over 1200 professionals from the global hospitality industry.

Accepting the award from BBC journalist Kate Silverton, Stefan Mitham, Head of Sales at the Møller Centre, explained:

“We are thrilled with this award. The customer is at the heart of our business and so for customers to vote for us in such numbers makes us very proud. Thank you to all the clients who voted for us, we are delighted that you believe in us and the world-class quality we offer as ‘Best UK Management Training Centre’.

Warwick Conferences takes Gold at the M&IT Awards

Warwick Conferences is celebrating its 10th consecutive year of Meetings & Incentive Travel (M&IT) award success, after winning Gold for Best Academic Venue for the 20^th time in the awards 29 year history.

The collection of meeting venues – based at the University of Warwick – also picked up Bronze for Best UK Management Training Centre and were recognised as finalists in the Best UK Conference Centre and Best Conference and Banqueting Staff categories.

Warwick Conferences has enjoyed significant success at the M&IT Awards, which are voted for solely by event organisers and readers of M&IT magazine.

This year’s ceremony took place at Battersea Evolution and was attended by more than 1,000 meetings and events professionals to reward excellence in service.

Later this year Warwick Conferences will open its new £5.3m dedicated meeting venue on the University of Warwick campus. The venue will offer 650 square metres of contemporary and highly flexible event space. 

Wyboston Lakes Announced as Finalist in M&IT Awards 2016

Wyboston Lakes, the leading conference and training venue, has achieved significant recognition in this year’s international M&IT Awards. It has been shortlisted in two categories – Best UK Management Training centre and Best UK Conference Centre’.

Organised by Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine, the Awards are amongst the most sought-after annual accolades to be given within the industry.  There are 19 awards voted for by the readers of Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine, plus a special award: M&IT Personality of the Year. Warwick Conferences strikes gold at M&IT Awards 2015

Warwick Conferences proved winning is thrice as nice after bringing home three awards at this year’s Meetings & Incentive Travel (M&IT) Awards.

The Coventry and Warwickshire-based collection of meeting venues beat off the competition to be awarded the top accolades in two categories: as well as receiving Gold for Best Management Training Venue, Warwick Conferences was also awarded Gold for Best Academic Venue - the 19th time in the awards’ 27-year history that its venues have come out on top in this category.

Additional success for Warwick Conferences’ facilities came in the form of Silver for Best UK Conference Centre, with Warwick Conferences holding onto its crown from 2014’s awards in this fiercely competitive category.

CCE Venues achieve multiple wins at biggest ever M&IT Awards

Conference Centres of Excellence member venues achieved significant success winning  a number of gold, silver and bronze awards at the prestigious annual Meetings & Incentive Travel Awards held this week, and celebrated in style with their industry colleagues and peers.

The Meetings & Incentive Travel Industry Awards event was held on March 3rd at Battersea Evolution in London, hosted by former England rugby star Matt Dawson and with more than 1,100 guests in attendance.

Conference Centres of Excellence were once again well represented with several member venues shortlisted as finalists, and a highlight of the evening was the group securing Bronze, Silver and Gold awards in the ‘Best UK Management Training Centre’ category. Gold winners of this category, Warwick Conferences also picked up the gold award for ‘Best Academic Venue’ and a silver award for the ‘Best UK Conference Centre’, enjoying prominent and well deserved customer endorsements for their venue.

 Imago, Burleigh Court also secured a silver award for ‘Best Academic Venue’ and bronze for ‘Best Conference and Banqueting Staff’ which follows a year of winning highly respected accolades and awards in the industry. The Møller Centre was also a multiple award winner on the evening, with silver awards for ‘Best UK Management Training Centre’ as well as ‘Best Conference and Banqueting Staff’, both awards coming despite being in the midst of a substantial redevelopment and refurbishment at the venue.

imago scoops two M&IT Awards

imago has scooped two awards at the Meetings & Incentive Travel (M&IT) Awards for its four star hotel and conference centre Burleigh Court.

Burleigh Court won Gold in the Best Academic Venue category and Silver in the Best Conference and Banqueting Staff category. It is the fifth year running that imago has been recognised by the prestigious meeting industry awards. 

Organised by Meetings & Incentive Travel (M&IT) magazine, the awards brings the meetings industry together to measure market reaction with the winners being chosen by customer feedback and votes. This year’s awards were held on 25 February at Battersea Evolution, London. 

Burleigh Court’s awards were collected by Natasha Hughes, Burleigh Court’s Customer Relations Manager and Guy Hodge, Burleigh Court’s Operations Manager.

Double Award joy for Farncombe Conference Centre

Farncombe Conference Centre is in the running for Best UK Conference Centre, after being shortlisted as a finalist in the 2014 Meetings & Incentive Travel Industry Awards. 

The centre, based on the Farncombe Estate near Broadway, will be battling it out for the top honour with ACC Liverpool, Central Hall Westminster in London, ICC Birmingham and Warwick Conferences.

Jilly Jones, Business Development Manager for Farncombe Conference Centre said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be a finalist after a very successful 2013, during which we hosted top companies and organisations including GlaxoSmithKline, Ikea and British Red Cross. 

“The awards are the result of voting by the readers of Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine and  to be recognised by our peers in the industry including venue organisers, is especially pleasing.  We are also proud to be shortlisted alongside the likes of Liverpool’s main conference centre and the ICC in Birmingham.”

The Gala Presentation Dinner, for what is the oldest established awards programme in the meetings industry, is on Tuesday 25 February at Battersea Evolution, London. Farncombe will be recognised in front of an audience of around 1,000 industry professionals.

Meanwhile, Farncombe Conference Centre has achieved a new gold award: The VenueVerdict Gold Standard Accreditation for 2013. 

It is the fifth year in a row that the centre has won this award, one of only four venues to do so. 

The accreditation is organised and given by BDRC Continental to properties recording a 12-month score of +70 or higher from 40 or more business responses. Farncombe Conference Centre joins 30 other UK venues who achieved the Gold standard for 2013.

VenueVerdict features around 360 participating meeting venues and hotels in the UK and Ireland annually and derives its results from about 22,000 individual pieces of customer feedback.
