Lane End Conference Centre has carried out a major structural refurbishment of one of its key facilities in just three weeks.
Lane End has transformed its Wycombe Lodge building with the latest hi-tech presentations technology plus a new higher ceiling that allows more natural light to flood in.
All the work had to be carried out in less than three weeks so Lane End could meet all the bookings in its conference venues schedule.
Refurbishment work was completed on time – 72 hours ahead of a new client arriving at Wycombe Lodge.
The two main conference rooms in Wycombe Lodge have been equipped with the latest data projectors and screens while new 50-inch plasma screens have been installed in all five breakout rooms.
Free high speed internet access is available throughout the building with a purpose-built coffee bar in the lounge offering tea, coffee and freshly baked biscuits throughout the day.
Other benefits include 35 bedrooms within the building plus a private lounge and dining room – all of which can be hired for exclusive or shared use.

Venue news: New Training Development at Lane End Conference Centre
Lane End Conference Centre has joined forces with Hi 5 Events to develop a dedicated Experiential Learning Centre.
This new training development is the first of its kind in the London area and is being developed in response to a direct need from Experiential Learning Experts, Challenging HR.
Andrew Lewis, Events Director of Hi5 Events: ‘Our client has asked us to suggest a quality venue with sufficient outdoor space within the Home Counties with the aim to develop fixed challenges for all their future training events.’
The team at Lane End is working closely with both Hi5 and Challenging HR to develop the activities in line with their requirements. This is a very exciting development and certainly one that will add value to the overall experience of many existing clients as well as new customers.
Phase 1 of the project is set to be completed by the end of April and the Experiential Learning Activities will be launched at the Open Day, which is scheduled for May the 12th.
This venture will add to the success of the past three years of hosting over 150 team building events. With more than 40 creative team building ideas already available at Lane End, this development will add to the facilities and create an even more extensive range of facilities on offer.

Event Organisers' Masterclass™ at Lane End Conference Centre
As part of its ongoing commitment to provide a dedicated service and specialist advice to all their clients, Lane End Conference we will be hosting a series of the Event Organisers' Masterclass™.
Given that there are few business activities which impact the reputation of the organisation (and the organiser) more than an event, vague leave-it-to-chance planning is just not good enough. People are involved ¬ and what they experience makes all the difference.
Because an event is usually a one-off deal to those who attend, any opinions formed from the event are usually long-lasting if not unshakeable. People seldom return and give you a second chance if they weren’t impressed. It has to go right first time.
This is where the Event Organisers’ MasterclassTM comes useful. You receive all the answers and guidance you need in one day for your event to run smoothly. The course is designed to help you achieve a successful event, on time and within budget.
Martin Ison, managing director of communications and training company Micomms and the main tutor of the course, said: “First impressions count for a huge amount in business. And, because you never get a second chance to make a first impression, it’s dangerous to leave any detail to chance. You can really tell which events have been organised by an experienced pair of hands; people may not catch the details but they certainly get the feeling if something’s not quite right.”
The day long course consists of ten sections and shows delegates the ins and outs of the planning and execution stages of an event. From setting objectives and themes, through to managing speakers; working with venues; briefing AV crews; and marketing ¬ including 12 essentials for gaining sponsorship to contribute towards costs ¬ there is all you need to know about staging a successful event.
Chartered Institute of Marketing CPD Accredited
Apart from providing much needed lessons from practical experience, the course also helps those interested in gaining continuous professional development (CPD) qualifications. Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s CPD programme, the Event Organisers’ MasterclassTM is the ideal source of practical skills development for the event and conference organiser.
100-page reference manual and free Venue Survey Guide
As part of the course, delegates receive a 100-page reference Workbook that acts as both a learning aid and a reference publication. Delegates also receive a free Venue Survey Guide which includes an 80-point questionnaire to help to establish whether a venue is right for your event.
“The first workshop, taking place on the 26th October, has already proofed to be very popular and we are planning to run at least 6 of these workshops over the next year.” Heni Fourie, Sales & Marketing Manager at Lane End Conference Centre.

Fresh Produce at Lane End Conference Centre
As part of our commitment to source local home grown produce and only use suppliers who have a sound environmental policy in place, we are now sourcing all our milk directly from the Lacey family who have been farming in South Bucks, with pedigree Guernsey cows for seven generations since the 1930’s.
The milk is not only fresh and tasty, but there is no food miles at all as the farm is located within 2 miles of Lane End Conference Centre. The Lacey family have invested in equipment to enable them to pasteurise their own milk which have not only presented us with the opportunity to reduce our food miles significantly, but we are now also supplying a fresher and healthier product as Guernsey milk is recognised for its additional health benefits.
The benefits of Guernsey Milk:
Guernsey milk is unhomogenised and better for your health. Although homogenisation breaks up the fat particles which means the milk will stay fresher for longer, it also causes the fat to be absorbed much more easily into the body and is therefore not good for you.
Guernsey milk is recognised for its additional health benefits with more Beta Carotene, Omega 3 and Beta Casein A2 than any other type of milk.
For more information about the health benefits go to the Guernsey milk website or call 0845 230 1414 to discuss your business requirements.
