One to Watch: The Moller Centre is a great place to work!
The Moller Centre is a great place to work!
The Møller Centre, the only dedicated management training centre in Cambridge has been presented with the Sunday Times Top 100 Companies “One to Watch” status for 2011. The award was presented to The Møller Centre at Art of Engagement in Milton Keynes.
The Sunday Times Top 100 is operated through Best Companies and focuses on workplace performance and best practice and evaluates the overall effectiveness of workplace engagement. Status and ratings are given to those companies that enter the process and evaluate the way the company is currently being operated, which is then examined by Best Companies who score the outcomes accordingly. The Møller Centre’s score rose significantly from last year and its “One to Watch” accreditation signifies that it is one of the country’s best employers to work for.
“We are a busy Centre, and always value our people who work together to ensure our client events are a success” says Stuart Websdale, General Manager at The Møller Centre. “It is our strategic aim to continually invest in our team to ensure we recruit and retain the right people to offer greater service to our clients. Without our staff, we couldn’t continue to deliver exceptional service. This award is very special to the Centre as it provides us with valuable staff feedback and therefore this award is for our people that make the Centre what it is.”
The Møller Centre is currently recruiting for a variety of positions. Visit http://www.mollercentre.co.uk/about-us/vacancies.html for further information.

Conference Centres of Excellence member proves perfect host for television fashion guru
Television fashion guru finds Nottingham Conference Centre the host for filming
Fashion guru Gok Wan found the perfect host for a Nottingham based episode of his latest series, Gok's Clothes RoadShow. Nottingham Conference Centre (NCC) wowed production company Endemol UK with a guided tour of their facilities on offer for filming in the city in December 2010.
Nottingham Conference Centre's large and pristinely finished spaces lent themselves perfectly to Endemol UK’s needs, offering the venue for a fashion masterclass held by Gok, and the catwalk show for the episode's grand finale.
Opened in early 2010, NCC has quickly established itself as a premier city based conferencing facility in Nottingham. Housed in the recently refurbished Newton and Arkwright buildings of Nottingham Trent University, customers and clients have been impressed with the facilities on offer, as well as the stunning architecture in which they're found.
Donna McLaughlin Series Producer of Gok's Clothes RoadShow, said: 'Nottingham Conference Centre really were the perfect hosts. The buildings they offered to us for filming in are absolutely beautiful, and they provided the perfect backdrop for the Nottingham based episode of the show. The staff and team that we worked with as well meant that we couldn't have asked for more from a host.'
Andrew Keen, Nottingham Conference Centre Manager, said: 'It was a pleasure to play host to Gok and his team. There was a real buzz around the conference centre for the two days that they were with us, and the rooms and spaces that they used for filming looked fantastic.'
